Alex Escrig (KLINT Factory
Team) made the perfect start
from the front row to grab the
holeshot, while Munoz stormed
from 11th to second on the
opening lap. Polesitter Holgado
slotted into third before quickly
moving forward, passing Escrig
and then Munoz by lap three to
take control at the front.
By lap six, the leading group
of five—Holgado, Munoz, Es

crig, David Alonso (CFMOTO
Inde Aspar Team), and Manuel
Gonzalez (Liqui Moly Dynavolt
Intact GP)—had broken clear
of the field. Gonzalez soon
dispatched Alonso for fourth,
while the Colombian slipped
back into the clutches of Izan
Guevara (bLU cRU Pramac Ya
-
maha Moto2) and Tony Arbo-
lino (REDS Fantic Racing).
Up front, Holgado and Munoz
Local young gun Diogo Moreira brought it home for 13th
on Sunday. Joan Mir (36) brought it home in the gravel.
Dani Holgado (96) converted pole
to a Moto2 win but not before
Daniel Munoz (17) gave him a
couple of scares along the way.
