250SX East/West
Showdown
The 250SX main event experi-
enced some controversy as the
top
riders from each division
gathered for the first East/West
Showdown. West Coast points
leader Haiden Deegan made a
strong push after starting 10th,

of his teammate, Cole Davies.

penalized for cutting across the
split-lane track markers. Race Di

rection considered this as "track
cutting"
and assessed Deegan
a one-position penalty, which
moved him from first to second
for the night, effectively ending
his win streak. He remains the
top 250SX West rider and keeps
the points lead in that division by
42 over Max Anstie.

advantage of this.' They started
