ROUND 1 / MARCH 5-7, 2026
DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY / DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA
ROAD RACE I MOTOAMERICA AMA/FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP
P92
Wyman; Gus Rodio's and Jason
Waters' Ducatis; and the return-
ing Robertino Pietri's and Bryce
Kornbau's
Yamahas.
Rispoli timed it perfectly,
using the power and slipstream
to draft past West and Lewis
to win by one-hundredth of a
second.
The second race was more of
the same, with the top nine cov
-
ered by 2.5 seconds and the top
eight by
one second. So intense
was the slipstreaming that
Rodio slammed into the wall on
the final lap on the run to the
line and still kept it upright for
an eventual fifth place. Lewis,
who won his first Daytona race
belong to current Mission Super
Hooligans number one James
Rispoli, who triumphed in an
incredible race one, with the top
10 separated by just 0.314 of a
second after six frenetic laps of
Daytona.
The lead changed almost
every corner, with constant
slipstreaming between the
Saddlemen Harleys of Rispoli,
Cory West, Jake Lewis, even
the 1990 (yes, 1990!) air-cooled
Harley-Davidson FXR of Travis
Herfoss inherited the lead and
put in a mighty last lap, leading
from the front and holding it to
the line ahead of Landers, with
Wyman taking third, just ahead
of Smith in fourth, with Rispoli
holding on to fifth by a wheel's
length from former number one
Tyler O'Hara (SDI Racing Indian).
In the points, Herfoss is a
healthy 13 points clear on 45.
Gillim and Wyman are tied for
second on 32.
Mission Super
Hooligans
"Man, if this racing doesn't ex-
cite you, maybe motorcycle rac-
ing ain't for you." Those words
James Rispoli (1) drags
everyone to the line in race one.
The Super Hooligans provided
some of the closest racing ever
seen on the high banks.
