Anderson Steps Away
From Racing
P
ipes Motorsports Group
(HEP Suzuki) said Jason An-
derson is stepping away from
racing
for "an indefinite period."
The HEP Suzuki team rider
and former AMA Supercross
Champion sat out the Daytona
and Indy Supercross rounds
and is taking more time off to
address personal, family, and
ongoing medical issues. This
decision comes after delibera
-
tion from Anderson, his man-
agement team, and the PMG
Suzuki organization.
"
Pipes Motorsports Group
respects Jason and his family's
privacy and fully supports his
decision," the team said. "No
further statements will be made
at this time."
The announcement comes
after recent reports of Ander
-
son being detained in Orlando,
Florida,
back in December of
last year. Anderson, who also
clinched the 2025 FIM World
Supercross (WSX) Champion
-
ship in December, was arrested
and
booked into the Orange
County Jail on December 15
for a domestic violence battery
charge, according to police re
-
cords. The case has since been
closed with no
charges filed.
There is no news yet on how
long Anderson, who recently
celebrated his 33rd birthday,
will be out of action or whether
the PMG Suzuki team plans to
hire a replacement rider to fill
his position.

Stark Wins
Manufacturers' Title
S
tark Future captured the 2026 FIM SuperEn-
duro World Championship Manufacturers'
Title,
marking the first time an electric motorcy-
cle manufacturer has won the title in the series.
Eddie
Karlsson and Toby Martyn competed
aboard the Stark Varg EX, finishing fourth and
fifth overall, respectively, in the championship.
Sebastien Tortelli, Stark Future's Racing Direc-
tor, said, "Just two and a half years ago, here
at this same
event, we were turned away from
racing the series. Since then, we have worked
tirelessly along with the FIM and [the] promoter
to make this happen, always applying our compa-
ny philosophy and pushing the boundaries of what
is possible. It
hasn't been easy, but to now achieve
our first FIM World Championship at the same
event two years later is an incredible and deeply
rewarding achievement."
Paul Soucy, Stark Future's Chief Technology
Officer, said, "This championship demonstrates
the incredible potential of the Varg platform.
From power delivery and traction to reliability and
control, the technology has proven itself under the
most demanding racing conditions."
