CN Former Pro Motocrosser Injured K yle Partridge, a former pro motocrosser, was seriously injured while riding at Perris Raceway on February 25. According to Road2Recover, Partridge, 39, suffered a trau - matic brain injury and underwent emergency surgery to reduce swelling and stop bleeding. He also experienced collapsed lungs that required chest tubes, along with multiple fractures along his spine starting at C1. He is now in an induced coma as doctors carefully monitor his brain and allow it time to heal. Once he clears brain protocol, he will undergo several major surgeries, including procedures to treat his spinal injuries, reconstruct the left side of his rib cage, and repair fractures in both scapulas. "Despite the severity of his injuries, Partridge is fighting," says Road2Recovery. "The road ahead will be long, but Kyle is not walking it alone. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, prayers, and strength during this unimaginable time. Your continued love means more than words can express to all of us who love him." Partridge retired from racing in 2015. Please visit the Road2Re - covery website if you'd like to donate to help cover his medi- cal expenses.
