and, more importantly,
he retains
the red plate for another week.
Lawrence now extends his points
lead to four over Eli Tomac.
"Even when you get a sixth
place, it's really tough, but man,
how cool it was racing against
all those boys," Lawrence
added. "Me and Kenny had

35 DREW ADAMS
6TH 250SX
Drew Adams just missed the top five
in the 250 division but was feeling
optimistic. "It was a pretty good day
all around," he said. "My goal at the
end of the night was just to get better
every time I was on the track. It's hard
to make passes with the dirt condi-
tions being so fresh, and I had to
work my way through a lot of riders,
but I stayed patient and focused on
my goal. I've got a few things to work
on this week, but I'm looking forward
to coming back strong for the team in
Daytona."
20 JORDON SMITH
19TH 450SX
Jordon Smith made his 450SX debut
on Saturday night with the Triumph
Factory Racing team. "I'm happy to
be back at the races," he said. "It
was a tricky day for me. Qualification
went pretty well; I was happy with the
speed. The main event was a tough
one. The track was gnarly, and I had
a couple of falls. I've not had long
on the bike, so we'll head home and
continue to build."
