Dorna Sports Changes Name D orna Sports will be known as MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group from now on in the first significant name change for the company since it acquired the MotoGP World Champi - onship in 1992. The switch represents a "refreshed identity aligned with the future direction of the sport," according to an official release. The championship was rebranded at the end of 2024, when a new logo was intro - duced, and this name change comes in when the company is un - dergoing significant internal changes since Liberty Media's acquisi- tion, which went through in July of 2025. Despite the name, the company pledged its commitment to the World Superbike Cham - pionship and Road to MotoGP programs.
