Politelli Perfect at
Prescott Arenacross
T
he AMA Arenacross Championship traveled to
Prescott Valley, Arizona, on February 7 for the
sixth round of the 2025-26 series. This year's rac-
ing has been as competitive as ever, with on-track
action featuring some true Arenacross bar-bang-
ing. Points remain close as Ryan Breece continues
to lead the standings, but it was his MotoConcepts
Honda teammate, Austin Politelli, who dominated
the night inside the Findlay Toyota Center.
Politelli's night went perfectly as planned. The
MCR Honda rider qualified fastest in practice
and won his heat race leading into the two main
events. He grabbed the holeshot in race one and
led every lap, with pressure from behind as rivals
Cole Thompson and Ryan Breece closed in. Politel-
li held strong as Thompson went down hard in the
rhythm lane and allowed for a bit more breathing
room as Breece slotted into second. Thompson's
teammate, Robbie Wageman, took third.
Race two saw more of the same from Politelli as
he secured the second holeshot over his teammate,
Breece. The two ran neck-and-neck, just like during
their midweek training, but points leader Breece
couldn't find a way past. Politelli executed perfect
laps and claimed the win, going 1-1 for overall first.
He is now second in the series' standings.
"Great day all together," Politelli said. "Fastest in
both practices, won my heat race, and won both
mains. So I'm stoked. I finally got some different
suspension. That helped a lot. It helped me be
more comfortable and ride more aggressive."
Breece finished second overall with 2-2 scores
and still leads the points by 18 over Politelli.
"The only way [to pass] was to get a better drive
through the whoops but they were small whoops
too," Breece said. "I just have to be better."
Wageman rounded out the podium with a pair of
third-place finishes.
Dane Morales won the overall in the AX Lites
division. A 2-1 score gave him the victory over
Ryan Boutilier [3-2] and the first main-event winner,
Jeremy Fappani. Fappani crashed with a lapped
rider in the main two, and his 1-3 finishes dropped
him to third overall.
