He lined up but eventually pulled off early. "I was feeling it in my heat race and was clos- ing in on Jorge [Prado] with a lap to go when I hit something and was sent flying off the face of the jump, so I hit the ground hard. I banged myself up good. I was able to get up and cross the line in eighth, so I qualified for the main without having to race the LCQ. I did my best in the main event and was good on opening laps, but honestly, my body started to feel it midway into the race, and I just had to salvage what spots I could. I will regroup this week, get a bunch of therapy on my body, and hopefully have a better race in Houston next weekend." 47 LEVI KITCHEN 21ST 250SX WEST Levi Kitchen had a tough night with a crash in the heat and in the main event. He was struck by another rider and did not complete a lap of the 250 main. "It was a little bit of a frustrat- ing day," said Kitchen. "The speed is there, and I feel good on the bike, MYOWNRACE Hunter Lawrence (96) had his hands full once again with Eli Tomac (3).
