get fourth. It was a tricky main
event; you had to be strategic."
Twisted Tea Suzuki's An-
derson held off Lawrence for
most of the race but eventually
rounded out the top five, putting
two yellow bikes in the top five.
"It was a pretty eventful night
for everyone, and for me it was
solid," said Anderson. "I've been
a little bit under the weather, but
was able to manage the race
with a decent start and ended
up fifth."
Justin Cooper came home
in sixth ahead of his Monster
Energy Star Racing Yamaha
teammate and current number
one, Cooper Webb, who rode
well, but a few untimely mis

takes cost him.
Chase Sexton made his long-
awaited debut on the Monster
Energy Kawasaki. Sexton looked
fast and comfortable on the
bike and was the top 450cc
qualifier by nearly half a second
ahead of Tomac. But a couple of
small get-offs and at least one
off-track excursion throughout
the evening hurt his results, and
a 10th-place start in the main
didn't help. He ran as high as
seventh late in the main before
dropping a position and finish

ing eighth.
"The day started off well with
earning the fastest qualifier,"
Sexton said. "I felt comfortable
on the track and felt like I had
the speed to contend up front.
Unfortunately, I had a couple of
mistakes during the heat race
and main event that forced me
to work my way through the
Max Anstie, at the
age of 32, made
history as the oldest
racer to win an AMA
250 Supercross
main event.
