Fermin Aldeguer Suffers Femur Fracture G resini Racing Ducati's Fer- min Aldeguer has suffered a significant setback during preseason testing in Spain after breaking his femur, raising doubts about his early participa - tion in the 2026 MotoGP season. The 20-year-old Spaniard was injured in a crash while training in Spain. Team officials con - firmed that Aldeguer sustained the fracture to his femur and was immediately transported to a medical facility for further evaluation and treatment. He later underwent surgery, which the team reported was success - ful. Aldeguer is now beginning a recovery and rehabilitation pro- gram, although no specific timetable has been given for his return to riding. The incident comes at a key moment for Aldeguer, who was preparing for his second season in the pre - mier class following a promising rookie campaign that saw him take a win in Indonesia. He is expected to remain under close medical supervision in the com - ing weeks as doctors assess his progress and determine when he may safely resume training. With the opening rounds of the MotoGP calendar approach - ing quickly, Aldeguer's availabil- ity for the start of the season remains unclear. Gresini Racing has not yet announced whether a replacement rider will be required should he be unable to participate in upcoming tests or races. CN WIND IN THE P30 Fermin Aldeguer's injury comes at a bad time indeed, as the Spaniard will likely miss the vital Sepang test at the start of February. Marquez Returns to Tarmac Action M arc Marquez has donned leathers for the first time since being taken out by Marco Bezzecchi in Indonesia in 2025 in a private test at the Aspar Circuit in Valencia, Spain. Using a Ducati Panigale V2 and V4, Marquez worked through a structured program overseen by Ducati MotoGP Team Man - ager Davide Tardozzi, designed to assess his readiness on a sportbike and gradually rebuild his comfort and precision on tarmac after having earlier ridden dirt track and motocross in his bid to return to full fitness. "I saw him in absolutely great shape," Tardozzi said. "It's clear he wasn't on a MotoGP bike or MotoGP circuit, but the test was still very positive. We'll see how he goes on a MotoGP bike. There's still three weeks to go before the Sepang test, and even if he's still not 100 percent, he'll be close. The goal is to be fit for the first race, which is still a month and a half away. The bottom line is, we're not wor - ried." CN Marc Marquez made his first tentative tarmac laps at the Aspar Circuit in Valencia, Spain, ahead of the Sepang MotoGP test.
