The humble egg. So fragile, yet it has protected life
for hundreds of millions of years. It is remarkable
that something so delicate can provide so much
protection.
After more than 70 years of helmet research &
development, we have found that a round, smooth,
and strong shell can enhance the inherently limited
absorption capacity of the inner liner of any hel-
met by being able to better avoid indirect impacts,
which we refer to as Glancing Off, diminishing, or
even preventing impact energy from getting into
the helmet.
In simple terms, the less impact energy that gets
in, the less energy the inner absorption liner needs
to deal with. This is where we can enhance the
helmets' ability to protect.
