Motorcycle Museum &

exhibit
three of the
four motorcycles
featured on the new
'iAmerican
Motorc,,cle"
postage
stamp series during the
2006 Sturgis
Motorcycle
Rally.
The three
motorcycles depicted
on the
stamps
-
a
l9l8 Cleveland,
1940 Indian Four and
a 1955 Harley-
Davldson Electra-Glide
-
are owned and ridden by
members of the Antique
Motorcycle Club
of America .
The
founh
stamp,
a drawing of a
1970s
chopper
was
crcated
by an artist
and will not be included in the
Muse-
um exhibit.
"How
appropriate
to have the actual
motorcycles fea-
tured on the
stamps on exhibit
here," said executive
dir€ctor Pepper Massey-Swan.
"The
motorcycles
depicted are an enduring
part
o( our
nation't
hlstory and relate
specifically to our mission
to
preserve
the
great
history
of motorclclin8."
