The
openinS
round of the
six-round
AMIVWMA series
was held in conjunction with
the
Prequel at Glen Helen
Raceway in Southern Califor-
nia and was
greeted
with
sunny skies and warm
weather. Many of the top
male AlulA
riders
were using
the Prequel as a tune-up for
the opening round oftheir
series the following weekend
at Hangtown, but for the
women it was time to
get
down to business and
get
serious.
And it
was
Kawaski's
Katherine Prumm who wenr
on to win the WMA opener
the
following day

while Yarnaha-mounted
Sarah
Whitmore
finished
second.
