One rider who took advanhge of the more than $200,000 in contingency rnoney that's up for grrbs from the bi8 four manufacturers wes Kaw-asaki-rnounted T),e Hames, who came out ofl top in both ttte I 25cc and 25kc Int€rmediate classes. ln 250cc lntermediate op€nint-moto action, Ricky Hemme won the drat iac€ to th€ lirat turn, iust ahead of Daniel Hendrix, Eddie Woolmore and Hames. Hames was quickly around both Woolmore and Hendrix and before lap one was completed on the J.B. f4emorial Track. and he also got around Hemme for the top spot. Hendrix latched on to Hemme's back fender for a lap before Hemme went down and dropped back to tifth. Hames had six se(onds on Hendrix by the midway point and lvould double that margin by time th€ checkers fell. Hendrix finiihed a lonely second, a sefe distance ahead of a good battle over third, in which Bryon whrd held off both Hemme and woolmore. Woolmore put his CR450F into the point position filen the gate dropped for moto two, with Hemme, Hend.ix and Hames all in tlle lead pack. Hemme tot around Woolrnore on lap one, and Hames did dte sarrE a shon time later. By lap three, Harnec was out froflt and starting to pull away for a dean sweep of the dass. Hemme kept Hames honest up until the penuhimate lap, when he stalled in a corrier Hemme restarted to still finish in secord de for third cMe6ll, behind Hendrix (2-3), w.rd wert 3-5 for fourth, over d|e 7-6 linirheg of Chd Smi6. Not ohly did Hames handily beat all the lntermediates, he also outran all of the Pros $/ho were on the same tate. Hemm€ was runner-up to Hames in both motos, with lason Parsons going 3-3 over Tony Pulliam. Both the l25cc and 25(kc Novice ranks fell victim to Honda-mounted Brandon Kovacs, who turned consiitently good starts into fout straiSht moto victories. Tylor Hemme picked up th€ second-place trophy in l25cc action with a 3-2 showirE, over the 4-3 saore of Cody Stauffer. Anthony williams narted off the series with a second-phcG-overall llnish in the 250cc Novices on a 4-2 score, edgint out the 3-4 taly of Dustin Pulliam. Tyler SioberS dominated both 85cc (14-16) mot6 brrt had a little tougher time in the 85cc Open even!, a5 Team Green's Blake BagSetr hounded him $roughout both motos. Acouple of minor bobbles on the part of Battett handed SjorberS hii second class o/erall on the day. Blaze Raible (3-3) rounded out the top thre€ in Open action, over Chrii Carillo (4{) and Shane Miller (5-5).
