According to the Palm Springs Desert Sun, the city council of Cathedral City has voted to ban off-roadinS in city limits in the Cali{omia town. Yamaha has contributed a significant portion of the $7 million in safery modifications and improvements this year at the racetrack in Monterey, California. This falls on the heels of the $2 million in changes contributed by Yamaha that allowed the MotoGP World Champi- onship to return to the United States and Plazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2005.
