Since there had not been much rain in the area before the race. the course was extended all the way out to 13.5 mibs to help arleviate taaflic conceans in the dust, but then rain aarne on Saturday to help keep the dust down. The long track did fea- ture some cool obstacles, though. He had a stronS pace goint, but a tight section on trarl on the last lap cost him.
