Sixth last week was a good result, so I came here thinking that with the easier sections maybe I could finish on the podium. I never expected to win, so I really want to say thanks to my team and to my docton" The competition started under good weather con- ditions, and it was soon evident that the sections wouldn\ be a bi8 worry to the top riders- Toni Bou, the winner of round one, fived section five and Douge Lampkin did the same in sections eight and 15. Thus, the fi8h( for the lead was between Fuiinam', re'tnint World Champion Adarn Rata and Albert Cabestany - with all of them collectin8 ''cleans ' and "dabs," At the turnint point, Fujinamitumed in a card with only two points, Raga had three more and Cabestany's scofe w;rs a seven- On the second lap, Fuiinami showed a strong mind and scored well atain with iust five points in total. Rata made one mistake less, but it wasn't enough to take victory from the 2004 World Champion. Sherco's Cabestany, meanwhile, had a nithtmare of a loop with four fives. That tave third place to Lampkin, and Cabestany slid all the way back to sixth. Bou was fourth with Jeroni Fdardo fifth on his Ga5 Gas, With two rounds complete, Raga is the new leader of the championship over Bou, 34-33, Fuiinami ir third with 30 points.
