Hart picked up the chase, with Rogers, Cheza, KK Supply/Rockwell Honda's willie Mccoy and LZ Racing/Bob Weirbach Racing's Ricky Marshall close behind him. Rogers was next to drop oIf the Pace, and he eventually dropped out, McCoy was now the rider on the move as he swept into third, but he stalled there behind Hart. Halbefi's smooth ride car- ried him to his first "big bike" win. Hart and l"lccoy filled out the winner's circle with Marshall getting by Cheza for founh. American Harley-Davidson/American Thunder Buell's Joe Hartrich led Kyle Whitis (MCR Suspension/El'4C Cycle) home in sixth. Motorcyclist Post/Bruce Transpor!- ation's Logan Myers led the 450cc ExPert main early. running ahead of Beattie, Memphis Shades/Parts Unlimited's JR Schnabel and 14axxis/Rod Lake s Jim wood. Tilley Harley-Davidson/Mitchell Hasonry-backed Shane Fox filled out the podium. Clt muscles on his new Custom Chrome/Zanotti Racing XR750 Harley-Davidson and walked off with the 75occ/ l000cc Expert win, and Harley-Davidson of Canada/Laurel Consulting Group's Steve Beattie came out on top of the 450cc Expert main as the traditional week of "test-and-tune racing" came to a close at Volusia Speedway Park. Moose Racing/Pro Motorsports' Brock Schwarzenbacher worked has way to the front in the 45occ Pro-Sport main event, and Simpson Helmets/Dennis Thurlow Racing's Robert Lewis pulled off his third-consecutive Harley-Davidson Sportster Performance-class win. Jethro Halbert shot to the lead of the 750cc/ l000cc Expert main, with Aprilia USlVlloyd Brothers l4otor- sports' Henry Wiles moving into second, ahead of Halbert's Custom Chrome teammate Gary Rogers, Kiesow Racing/Mack Daddy Racing's Chris Hart and Global Products/Lancaster Harley-David5on's Nichole Cheza. Halbert pulled to a com- fortable lead as Wiles strug- front, but Myers stayed glued to the Canadian's rear wheel. Schnabel was fully engaged with Wood as the two battled over third a short dis- tance back. Pro Motorspons/Motion Pro's Jesse lanisch rode alone in fifth while there was a great race going on for sixth. Global Products/ Lan caste.
