Georgio Chompionship 5eries Round l: Coyole Run Moro.ro.s Pdrk PARROI, GA, tEB. t9 The sran of Lhe season is always exciring, and tne stan of the I Georgra Championship Series took place ar Coyote Run Motocross Park. Coyote Run is one oI the new tracks added to the GCS this year to give rhe racers more and better faciliti€s. The track was prepped to the max, and th€ racers had their hands full with a sand track featurin8 rough and changing lines. Coyote Run has two tracks: one {or the big bikes, and ano&er for the 50s and 65s. This made rhe program run faster, with both tracks running at the same rime. When the gate fell for the 50cc Oil-lnjected class, it was the Yarnaha-mounted Tristan Lewis takinS the overall win. Michael Webb scored th€ secofld-oveEll honors, and Paxbn Jones took the final podium position, eivinS Yamaha a podium sweep. The 50cc Open racers left the line, and at the finish it \ /as Coleman Ma.tan taking the overall victory on his fast Cobra, preventing a KTl4 podium domination, as Tommy Maxey took second overall with a good ride ard Bradley Beavers had the hammer down for the final podium position. The 65cc (7-9) class looked like an all-Kll4 class, with the top five riders on the fast. oranSe machin€s. Dillon Smith rook top honors with the overall win. Austin Dodd took the se.ond podium step with a good ride. Thomas Covington was the one for the final podium step when all was sajd and done. The 65cc geSinner class had a good crowd. Suzuki iockey Dustinlooes took the overall win. Blake Rutherford, on another Suzuki. took second overall for the day. Parker Faircloth used his Kawasaki to take the final podium step and prevent a Suzuki sw€ep of the class. The best performance of the weekend was the effon Kyle Ke/lon put in on the Performance Honda from Florida. Keylon used his speed !o win the overall in four classes. When the day wirs over, the l25cc B, 250cc B, 16-24 and Four-Srroke clalses belonSed to Keylon. ln the 125.c and 250cc B classes, Cole Boutwell and Ashley Vickery use their fast Kawasakis to give chase to Ke)/lon for the second and third awards, respe.tively, after some grear racing!
