Nomination

announced its support of ldaho
Governor Dirk Kemptho.ne, who was
selected last week by President
Bush to
be the 4fth Secretary
of the lnterior.
The nomination of Kempthorne,
an avid street motorcyclist
and off-hi8hway enthusiast, was
announced during a ceremo-
ny at the White House. lf confirmed
by the Senate, Kempthorne
would succeed current lnte.ior Secretary
Gale
Norton.

and we believe that it's a promisint sign for the
future
of responsible off-highway recreation,"
said Edward Moreland, AMA vice president
