Fay grabbed the holeshot in the Open P.o main, while Kyle RiSsdale, Eric tuckman and leff Hiatt dispLrt- ed second. Just when it looked like RaSsdale was 8oing to estab- lish himself in that spot. he got shumed back to fourth. Now Rick- man was second, with Hiaft runninS third, whil€ Ragsdale worked at regaining those lost positions. With four laps to 8o, Ragsdale passed Hiaft, and one lap later he got by Rj.kman to move back into second. By then, Fay was on cruise control, and he won with ease over Ragsdaie, with tuckrmn third and Hiaft fourth. When the 80- l50cc Four-Stroke main left the line. Davis Fisher was no better than founh and facing an uphill battle in thi! highly competitive class. lt took a few laps for Fisher to get by leremy "Bulldo8" Lehmann and move into third. His next vicrim was Mark Russell. and now he had one more rider to pass. As his dad, Rex, cheered him on, Davis put a slick inside move on John Brown and won it toing away! The 85cc F4odified and 85cc Unlimited mains were models of consistency, as "Earthquake Jake" Burton jumped into the lead both times out.
