battle of the day was in the l25cc Arnateur class. ln the first moto. k Brian Pennington, Nick Laroy and Justin Stuck in contention for the win. Stuck started cliaking oll the fastest lap times of the moto and pulled his way out front and never looked back until the checkers. TakinS second was t-aroy, and Pennin8ton took third. ThinSs really 8ot heated in the second moto. Pennington iumped out into an early lead, but he had Kris Klein, Stuck and Laroy on his tail. The foursome raced side by side down the flnish-line straiSht to take the wvoJap sign, and then they let it all hang out! Laroy ended up makin8 a mistake and dropp€d out of tie top five, while Klein and Stuck were in a vi.ious, back- and-fonh battle, and right on Pennin8ton's rear whe€|. When the checkers llew' Pennington held on to take the win, with Stuck and Klein directry b€hind resp€ctively. Stu.k took the overall win with his l-2 score. Pennington (3-l) took second overall, followed by Klein (4-3). Laroy (2-6) and Eric Dainin8 (5-4). The lady racers also knew how to heat things up. ln the ,irst moto of the Women's class, it wEs Sierra Bragg and Samantha Petrich racing for the lead position. Petrich 6queezed her way into firsr and then checked out, leavinS Bra88 to fend off advances from Kady Chocek and Lfrdsea Dackerson. The three went at it lap after lap until Dickerson attempted a pass on Chocek and both of them went down. This left BregS with a comlonable second place. Petri.h took the win, Iollowed by Bra88 and Sierra Shirley. Bragg was on lire in ttre second moto and led a majority of the race before Petrich cauSht and passed her with only two lap6 ro go. Petrich held on to take the win, while Biagg once agarn llnished second and Chocek took lhird. Petrich (l-l)took the overall win, with Bra88 (2-2) takinS second.
