ln honor of those who serve in the U.S. military Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories has designed a series of Commemorative Edition Mili- tary Paint and Accessory Kits for the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle. Five different kits will be produced, each to commemorate a branch of the armed services: Army, Navy, Air Force, lYarines and Coast Guard. Produc- tion will be limited to 1000 total kits. Harley-Davidson will also ofler new Military Collection accessories, themed to each service branch, that include a special seat, medallion and engine covers. "To show its support for those who serve oLrr Sreat country Harley- Davidson will also make a one-time, $100,000 donation of proceeds from the sales of these special kits and accessories to the USO (United Service Organization) whose mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation- type services to our men and women in uniform," said Ron Hutchinson, vice president of Genuine l'lotor Parts and Accessories. Each complete paint-set kit will include a custom-painted front fender, fuel tank, and rear fender with U.S. flag graphic in colors themed to a sPe- cific service branch- Miniature chrome "Bar & Shield" logo authenticates the special design, and each set will be hand-numbered. AIso included with the kit are a front-fender medallion with a service-branch logo set into a bril- liant chrome-plated-billet frame, chrome-plated-billet-aluminum derby and timer covers, and air-cleaner trim featurinS the appropriate service emblem with the Harley-Davidson "Bar & Shield" framed with a knurled ring. The kit is topped by a Badlander seat with smooth covers, subtle top-stitchinS, and two silve.-grey embroidered H-D Mili- tary Stars-and-Stripes logos. The Commemorative Edition Militar/ Paint and Accessory Kits ($3099,95) fit 2001-06 fuel-injected FLSTFI Fat Boy and 2004-later carbu- reted FLSTF Fat Boy models, and are available for sale to any customer. The military-themed paint sets will only be available as part of each com- plete Commemorative Military Edition kit. Howeveq Harley-Davidson will offer for individual sale each ofthe following military-themed decorative accessories: Military Collection Fender f4edallion ($36.95), Hilitan/ Collec- tion Timer Cover ($59.95), Military Collection Derby Cover ($ I 19.95) 14ili- tary Collection Air Cleaner Trim ($99.95), and the Military Paftern Badlan- der Stitched Seat ($259.95).
