ln the 50cc Adult Modified .ontest, Cory Strackler took the lead from l.'lLrllen, Roy l4iller and F4ajeski. Mullen took the lead at the end of the first lap, alonS with Miller and F4aieski. The top three stayed close, with Majeski takrn8 second on the seventh lapi Miller tried to retake it goinS into turn three on lap 10, nudginS l"laieski, but falling. Other riders who completed class sweeps were Luke Goonan, in the 50cc (4-6) class, after battling with Tristan Reeley and taking the lead on the fiflh lap. Despite arriving late, Colton Smith had no problem with the 50cc (7-8) class. Shayna Texter complered rwo sweeps. a8ain easily destroyinS the Women's class and a8ain holdinS off a close Cassidy Heiser to claim her third strarght 85c( final. Shayna s brorher Cory also had a three-win series, winning the 50cc Adult Stock class on opening niSht and then fiShting ror then Adult l00cc wans in the last two events. On this night he started third, behind Nick Henderson and Chris Klinefelter, but he took second entering one on lap three and then hounded Henderson unul he slipped under him Soing into three on lap l0 for the lead. Jeremiah Snow aSain topped the 65cc class. Greg Ey became the third different winner in the 50cc Four-Stroke class. Despite the threat of snow eadier in the week, the skies cleared and the sun came A great race in the Senior Women's class saw Katie Parkerson and Hilarie Christensen battling for the top spot. Parkerson took the lead in the first moto, \/ith Christensen right behind her Christensen made the pass for the lead on lap two, but Parkerson s6yed ri8ht behind Christensen and made the pass for the ln moto wvo. Parkerson took th€ holeshot and immediately sterted putting some distance between h€rselfand the rest ofthe pack. By lap four, Parkerson had a good four-bikelength lead, but on the last lap she had bike problems and Christensen went by to take the win and the ln the Over 40 class, Randy Smirh took the holeshot in moto one, with Eruce Brook (948) and Amos Carter riSht behind him. Smith went into the second turn and Brooks followed a liftle too hot for the turn, clippint Smith's ba.k tire and going down. Smith hit the throttle and motored on for the win, but Carter was close behind Brook and also went down. Caner tot up aod 8oin8 first, as it took Brooks several attempts toSet his bike going again- While Brooks was staning his bike, both Wayne Pitsenbarger and Kenneth Vest got by. Brooks 8ot up and Soing atain and w€nt by Pitsenbarger and Vest. and then went lookrng for Caner. Brooks did make up some time on Carter, but the checkered flag came out and Brooks had to settle for third, ln moto two, Smith atain took the holeshot, and Brooks and Carrer were side by side, ricing for th€ second position. Erooks rook the spot. but on lap two he 8ot crossed up in the whoop section and wenc of( rhe side, lertinS Carter take the positaon. JANUARY 25,2006 43 The pass of the evening was made by Thomas Neuens, in the l25cc C clals. ln moto one, Neuens came out right behind and beside Tim Abel. Abel took the lead. and Neuens fell in b€hind. Lap after lap, Neuens could not 8et b1 and as the white flag fl€w, the two w€nt into the finish-line whoop seciion. Abel slid a little going into the section, and Neuens took advantage by doing the triple and rhen the quad on the inside to make .he pass. The spectators were on their Ieet for this move! Neuens went on to rake the win. These two always put on a show.
