series and placed third overall, winning
the second race.
Eli Tomac, on the Red Bull KTM wild-
card entry, was fourth overall, while
Joey Savatgy, on the Quad Lock Honda,
was fifth overall.
Deegan, who was once coached by
Craig, took sixth place overall in just
his second race in the 450cc class.
Deegan's shining moment came in the
third race when he passed Tomac en
route to fourth.
"I'm just going to say this," Deegan
said. "I was battling Eli Tomac, and I
was like a little kid. I was in shock the
whole time. I was like, 'I just passed Eli
Tomac! I just passed Eli Tomac!' I was
tripping the whole time. That was ba
