THE FIRST OF HIS KIND
Brazil has not had many notable
Grand Prix stars, the most famous
being the legendary Alex Barros
from the 1990s and early 2000s.
But now the bike-mad country has
a new hero in Diogo Moreira, who
claimed his and Brazil's first World
Championship after sealing the
Moto2 title at Valencia. And it's just
in time, as the 21-year-old moves
up to MotoGP with LCR Honda in
2026, right when Brazil will host
a Grand Prix race for the first
time since 1992 at the Autodromo
Internacional Ayrton Senna.
