REMEMBER WHEN
Believe it or not, there was a time
when Honda didn't dominate the
Baja 1000; Kawasaki did. From
1988 to 1996, Honda went winless
while trying to squeeze the most
out of its aging, air-cooled XR600,
but with little success. Here,
Chuck Miller prepares for the
start of the Baja 1000 in 1991. A
cracked engine case would end
Miller, Dan Ashcraft and Bruce
Ogilvie's ride early.
