Joan Mir crashed out on the second
lap of Saturday's Sprint, taking his
Honda HRC Castrol teammate Luca
Marini with him, and was handed a
long-lap penalty for Sunday's race.
"From the start of the race, we didn't
have the best grip but I was able to
be quite comfortable. Then I did the
long-lap penalty, and I had to restart
my progress, coming through quite
well again until there was quite a big
drop in performance at the end of the
race. We need to check and under-
stand why we had such a big drop."
Fabio Di Giannantonio (49) leads Raul
Fernandez (25) and Pedro Acosta (37).
It was a double Valencian podium for
the Italian, but Raul Fernandez would
pip him for second on Sunday.
