AXP Racing has a new skid plate made
specifically for 2021-26 Yamaha Tenere
700 models. Made from 8mm-thick high-
density polyethylene plastic, the skid plate
is between 30 and 40 percent lighter than
its aluminum counterpart and stronger
than carbon fiber. The plastic unit absorbs
shocks and returns to its original shape
after impacts. High-density foam in the inner
base provides added impact absorption
while also muffling the sound of deflecting
rocks. The front mudguard is removable for
cleaning and servicing the bike. Hardware
needed for installation is included.
