2027 BMW F 450 GS B MW confirmed the F 450 GS for 2027 (with earlier avail- ability expected), slotting it be- neath the F 750 and F 850 GS while retaining full GS touring- and-trail capability. The goal is to attract newer ADV riders and those wanting a smaller, lighter machine for real off-road use. Power comes from a new liquid-cooled twin producing a claimed 48 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque, tuned for strong low- and midrange response. It's paired with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and an optional quickshifter. A steel perimeter frame uses the engine as a stressed member. Suspension includes a 43mm KYB inverted fork and a rear shock using BMW's WAD (travel-dependent) damping, offering about 9.0 inches of travel up front and 8.7 inches at the rear. Geometry features a 28° rake with 4.5 inches of trail. Wet weight is claimed at 393 pounds. Three variants are planned: the Exclusive with 19/17-inch cast wheels for mixed-road use; the off-road-focused Trophy with 21/18-inch wire-spoke wheels, an aluminum skid plate, and dedicated seat/graphics; and the Sport, which adds ad- justable suspension and unique colors. A full-color TFT display, switchable ABS and traction control, and optional ride modes complete the package. U.S. availability is expected in mid-2026, with pricing to be announced. P64 FIRST LOOKS I It's (almost) finally here! The new BMW F 450 GS looks set to pull a whole new range of riders into the GS fold. APRILIA SR GT 400 A prilia enters the midsize ad- venture scooter category with the new SR GT 400, positioned as a crossover alternative similar to Honda's X-ADV. Power comes from a liquid-cooled 400cc four-valve single producing a claimed 36 horsepower. It weighs a claimed 410 pounds. The chassis uses a motorcycle- style double-cradle steel frame, a 41mm inverted fork, and twin rear gas shocks, each offering 4.7 inches of wheel travel. Ground clearance is a notable 7.4 inches, supported by long-travel suspension and Mitas Enduro Trail tires mounted on 16- inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. Braking is handled by a 300mm front disc with a radial-mount caliper and a 240mm rear disc, managed by switchable dual-channel ABS. It has a three-element LED head- light and an adjustable windscreen. A five-inch color TFT display is standard, with optional Aprilia MIA connectivity enabling navigation prompts and media control. Two-lev- el traction control can be disabled, and ABS can be set to front-only for light off-road use. Storage accommodates a full- face helmet, and the 3.1-gallon tank offers a claimed 186-mile range. Multiple colors and a Rally Replica trim will be offered, with pricing and availability to follow. Perfect for a rally raid, right? Aprilia certainly has created a good-looking scooter.
