Roczen, Anstie Ace Argentina WSX Opener

he opening round of the FIM
World Supercross Cham-
pionship took place in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, on November
8, to kick off the five-race 2025
season. Held at the Autodromo
Oscar y Juan Galvez F1 track,
Ken Roczen and Max Anstie
used their veteran experience to
sweep all three of their respec
-
tive main events.
SX1
Roczen dominated all three
main events. The former WSX
World Champion battled a
stomach bug during his interna-
tional trip but saved his energy
for when he needed it most. The
Pipes Motorsports Suzuki rider
topped the afternoon qualifying
session and posted the fastest
time in the following Superpole
lap. From there, it was smooth
sailing for the German native,
as good starts put him up front
from the get-go. Wins in both of
the sprint races laid the founda
-
tion for another solid perfor-
mance in the final main race of
the night. With a clean sweep,
Roczen heads into round two
with the points lead in the SX1
division.
"I feel like I rode well," Roc-
zen said. "With the track and
the moisture, there's a fine line
between pushing for speed
and sliding out and making
mistakes. I had fun out there. I
thought the track was awesome,
and I had an incredible night."
Yamaha's Justin Cooper fin

ished second overall with 5-2-2
scores on the night. The Ameri-
