ROUND 12 / OCTOBER 17-19, 2025 CIRCUITO DE JEREZ – ANGEL NIETO / JEREZ, SPAIN ROAD RACE I FIM SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP P86 ing Yamaha) won race one by 0.051 of a second over Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team). Having started from fifth place, Alcoba led the race at the crucial point on the last lap, but Manzi eased him out of his ideal line exiting the final corner and Alcoba was denied his first race win, as was the recently homologated 636 version of the Ninja ZX-6R. Oncu was third, just 0.329 of a second behind, after a highly motivated Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing Verdnatura Ducati) was penalized to drop one position for exceeding track limits on the final lap. Alberto Surra was aggressive as ever to finish fifth, with pole - man Casadei sixth. Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) was chasing third in the overall title fight, so his seventh place (even if he was less than three sec- onds from the race winner) did him no great favors. Looking for a result in race two to guarantee third place in the championship, behind Manzi and Oncu, Masia was truly on a mission on Sunday, winning the race by 3.255 seconds from the rider he beat to third overall in the end, Booth-Amos. Third was Manzi, on yet another 2025 podium, in a year when he had the slightly unex - pected tool to do the job. Few fancied the R9 in the winter, especially after initial testing but it was enough to deliver both Manufacturers' and riders' titles to Yamaha. In the final points, Manzi has 466, Oncu 372, Masia 265 and Booth-Amos 262. Manzi's stats are impressive in his title-win - ning year. Eleven wins, 20 podi- ums and the title by 94 points over his nearest rival. Now, he heads off to WorldSBK with GRT Yamaha for 2026. WorldWCR Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team secured the pole position start at Jerez, but her championship rival, Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha), lined up right next to her. The first race was a tough one as usual, with local one-off Maria Herrera won the WorldWCR title with just five points to spare.
