I
t may be easier to list some eras that were not coming to an end at
Jerez—or bike/rider combinations that were finally coming to an end—
than look at the races themselves.
It was a significant milestone in WorldSBK's modern history, no doubt.
This was Jonathan Rea's last full WorldSBK season race weekend,
and Toprak Razgatlioglu had his last WorldSBK races for a while as he
heads off to MotoGP and Yamaha. Alvaro Bautista will be an indepen

dent rider in 2025 for Barni Ducati. Honda makes a complete rider swap;
Yamaha has one new rider in each of their 2026 top teams. BMW is
replacing both riders, and the WorldSSP300 Championship will cease to
be in 2026, with World Sportbike replacing it.
