Schareina, Honda Win Rallye du Maroc T osha Schareina of the Monster Energy Honda Rally Team captured the overall win in the Rallye du Maroc in Morocco, October 12-17. Schareina fin - ished ahead of early leader Dan- iel Sanders of the Red Bull KTM Team and Honda teammate Ricky Brabec. Schareina claimed three of five stage victories, and his name now joins a list of Honda winners in Morocco that includes Cyril Despres, Paulo Goncalves and Pablo Quintanilla. Schareina closed out the rally with three minutes and 12 seconds over runner-up Sanders. Brabec finished approximately six minutes behind Sanders. Honda's Adrien Van Beveren, who battled a previous injury all week, was fourth overall and KTM's Edgar Canet fifth. Honda's Skyler Howes was forced to withdraw on day two after suffering a crash. "It was not easy, but it's the best way to end the season, tak - ing the victory finally with Honda," Schareina said. "I'm happy for the team and everyone that supports me, and now we focus on the main goal that is Dakar." Runner-up Sanders said, "Obviously, I'm happy to finish the race here in Morocco safely and on the podium, but I'm a little disappointed not to have taken the win. After wrapping the championship up in Portugal, I really wanted to focus on this race and do my best. I'm riding good, I know that, and when I'm riding good, I'm fast—I just need to clean up my mistakes. It's good to get a bit of a wake-up call, and now ahead of Dakar, I know there are things I need to work on with myself." "I'm happy to be healthy and happy to be at the finish line; this is the main goal," said Brabec. "It's been two years since I've fin - ished this race, and it feels good. We're going to go home healthy and start preparing for Dakar. We got third in the general, so it was a good rally. Everyone wants to win, of course, but the competition is really, really strong right now." In the Rally2 class, the young Spaniard, Canet, fought hard across all stages, ultimately securing the overall Rally2 vic - tory and locking up the 2025 Rally2 World Cup Champion- ship aboard his KTM 450 Rally. American Preston Campbell (Honda HRC) finished sixth in the Rally2 class and was 14th overall. Another American, Bran- don Krause, finished 26th out of the 82 Rally2 starters. If all goes to plan, Krause will line up for the upcoming Dakar Rally. A WIND IN THE P60 Tosha Schareina had a strong second half of the Rallye du Maroc in Morocco, forging ahead for the overall victory.
