The short explanation for this was etched
on the faces of even the coolest customers of
all—Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad
WorldSBK Team) and Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it
Racing - Ducati). They are now at the unforgiving
final stage of deciding who will be champion, and
all that that entails.
Superpole proved to be a super-contest between
the two remaining championship protagonists.
Razgatlioglu went out and set a new track
record straight away, then did another one. Then
he saw Bulega set his own new track best, so
Razgatlioglu went out and smashed in another
fast lap to take the new track- and Superpole-
qualifying best mark to 1:34.203.
Every thousandth of a second counts now, as
the psychology is reaching the edges of endur
