Mastery In Maggiora
Team USA's Motocross of Nations victory
in Maggiora, Italy, was nearly
overshadowed by Johnny O'Mara, who
rode a production-based Honda CR125R
to second overall in both his motos, which
involved 250 and 500cc bikes, and he
even passed 500cc World champ David
Thorpe on a works bike. The two big bikes
that finished ahead of him were ridden by
fellow American Honda riders Rick Johnson
(250cc) and David Bailey (500cc).
