BSB Tightens Up After Oulton Park B radley Ray (Yamaha), Scott Redding (Ducati) and Josh Brookes (Honda) shared the spoils at Oulton Park as the Ben - netts British Superbike Champi- onship heads to a tense finale at Brands Hatch on October 17-19. Defending champion Kyle Ryde (Yamaha) still leads the standings by 30 points over Ray, with Leon Haslam (Ducati) also mathematically in contention after three podiums. Josh Brookes kicked things off in inclement weather by tak - ing his first win for the Dao team in race one after he outfoxed old rival Haslam, pulling a tight pass at the chicane on the final lap. Ray's standout moment came in race two, storming from 14th on the grid to snatch victory on the final lap. After a red-flag stop - page, Christian Iddon (Kawasaki) and Haslam initially led, but Ray carved through the pack. Closing down the leaders, he dispatched Iddon at Island before diving past Haslam at Knickerbrook to take a dramatic win by less than half a second. Ryde finished fourth, with Storm Stacey (BMW) and Tommy Bridewell (Honda) round - ing out the top six. The final race delivered another thriller, with Redding pulling off a late charge to claim victory for Hager PBM Ducati. Ray and Ryde fought fiercely at the front alongside Haslam, the lead changing multiple times as the pack behind—Iddon, Stacey, Bridewell, Max Cook (Kawa - saki), Glenn Irwin (Yamaha) and Charlie Nesbitt (Honda)—closed in. Haslam briefly took control before Redding surged forward in the closing laps, passing both Ray and Haslam to secure his fifth win of the season. Ray salvaged second after Haslam ran wide on the last corner, while Stacey narrowly missed the podium by just 0.026 of a second. Ryde took fifth ahead of Irwin, Iddon, Cook, Bridewell and Nesbitt.
