T
he 11th round of the 13-race
J Day Off-Road/East Grand
Regional AMA Championship
wrapped up with the NU-Look
Asphalt Richardson's Farm
race in Burrillville, Rhode Island,
September 27-28. The course
delivered a wild mix of bar-deep
mudholes and a dry, fast corn
-
field, thanks to heavy rain the
week prior. Despite a few mis-
haps, Thorn Devlin came out on
top in the Pro AA class, shaking
up the points standings.
In moto one, Justin Cokinos
(Plaistow Powersports) grabbed
the Fox Racing holeshot and led
through the sandy cornfield. He
held the lead for one lap until
Cooper Jones (KTM) and Bran
-
don Gregoire (Yamaha) moved
into the top two spots. Jones
stayed out front to take the win,
while Gregoire dropped back af
-
ter dislocating his knee midrace.
Devlin started moto one in
sixth but crashed early in the
cornfield, dropping to last place.
He fought back to sixth by the
end of lap one and ultimately
finished second. Jiggs Fustini
