Hampshire Confirmed For Team USA MXoN T eam USA has confirmed RJ Hampshire for the 2025 Motocross of Nations, which takes place at Ironman Raceway on October 3-5. The SuperMo- tocross Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada, saw two team members, Haiden Deegan and Chase Sex- ton, sustain injuries. Sexton later confirmed his withdrawal from the event, citing a sore shoulder and a concussion. RJ Hampshire was recently named as Sexton's replacement and will race the Open division. "I am really excited for the chance to represent our great country on home soil," Hampshire said. "I may not have been the first pick, but I'll always answer the call, and you know I'll give it everything I've got. Ironman is one of my fa- vorite tracks, and we've still got a strong team ready to go—see you all next weekend!" This marks Hampshire's sec- ond time on Team USA, his first coming in 2023 at Ernee, France. He finished second overall (3-4) at Ironman earlier this year and earned fifth in the final 450MX point standings. "It's such an honor when one of the Rockstar Energy Husqvar- na Factory Racing athletes are selected for MXoN," said Na- than Ramsey, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager. "RJ is a perfect choice to represent the USA, as well as WIND IN THE P28 our team. He will no doubt give it everything he has to get the job done and we are more than happy to support him and Team USA!" Team USA's MX2 rider Haiden Deegan suffered a broken collar - bone at the SMX finale but still expressed his intent to com- pete. Deegan's Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha teammate Justin Cooper will attend the race as the team's backup MX2 rider should Deegan decide he's unfit after riding practice and qualification. Cooper was part of the winning team alongside Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton back in 2022 at RedBud in Buchanan, Michigan. CN RJ Hampshire will fill in for the injured Chase Sexton on the U.S. team at the MXoN at Ironman Raceway.
