Garcia Clinches E1-Class EnduroGP Title R ed Bull KTM Factory Racing's Josep Garcia secured the 2025 FIM Enduro1 (125cc two- stroke/250cc four-stroke) World Championship on his KTM 250 EXC-F at the EnduroGP of Italy, September 27-28. However, the big one, the overall EnduroGP title, is still very much up for grabs. On a wet and challenging day on the trail that required the can - cellation of one test section, the Spaniard, Garcia, took Saturday's overall win despite a heavy crash in the final test that required stitches to his elbow. Just 3.58 seconds separated Garcia from runner-up Zach Pichon (TM) of France. GasGas' Andrea Verona was third on the day, 27 seconds behind Garcia. "It was a good day of racing," Garcia said on Saturday. "I felt good and was riding perfectly. On the last Enduro test on lap three, I had a big crash on the stones on [the] downhill. After that, I needed to manage the gap until the end. But all is good, and I will go again tomorrow, 100 percent." Garcia basically just needed to finish on day two, and the E1 title would be his. His injuries from day one made it difficult, but he pulled through, finishing 15th overall. "I'm really happy about the weekend, to be honest," Garcia said. "Yesterday was an incred - ible day for me, and I was riding super well. Unfortunately, in the last enduro test, I had a crash, which meant I needed to get some stitches in my elbow, and I injured my hip and the muscle in my leg. I knew today would be hard, and I still tried to give 100 percent, but another crash in the same place gave me a lot more pain for the whole day. It really was one of the hardest days of racing in my life. I have really mixed emotions. Obviously, I would have liked to achieve a WIND IN THE P62 Josep Garcia took the overall win on Saturday at the EnduroGP of Italy. The next day, he clinched the Enduro1 title. PHOTOS: FUTURE7MEDIA
