Top Amateur was Cooper Jones, who earned 14th overall and a win in the 250 A class. The WXC battle at round 11 was nothing short of electrify- ing, as Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki Team Green's Rachael Archer grabbed the $100 Land- ers KTM WXC Holeshot Award to start the day. As the race con- tinued, FMF KTM Factory Racing Landers' Brandy Richards made the pass around Archer. Rich- ards held onto the lead position, earning her first win in her sec- ond race back after a leg injury. Archer took second in class. "I didn't have the greatest start, so I was about fourth or fifth while the other girls were ready to go from the beginning," Richards said. "I started off slow, then made my way to third, and then had what was a gnarly get-off. After I got up from that, I had to regroup. Halfway through the second lap, I started to get a good flow going and began to see that the times were com - ing down to the front-runners, so I did my best in the dust and slowly gained on them. I made a pass and then knew it was hard to pass in the dust, so I just stayed up and managed to win. AmPro Yamaha's Danielle McDonald and Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing's Korie Steede went head-to-head, trading positions multiple times throughout the race. McDonald was able to make a last-lap pass on Steede to take the third-place position in WXC, while Steede crossed the line fourth. Round - ing out the top five in WXC was Enduro Engineering-backed racer Shelby Turner. In the overall GNCC standings, Davis leads with 247 points, followed by Kelley with 227 and third-place Angus Riordan, who struggled in the dust and finished 15th, with 166 points, just five points ahead of Cody Barnes, who was 12th on the day.
