Jordon Smith was the lone rider flying
the Triumph flag and finished inside
the top 10. "It was a better day,"
Smith said. "I felt good in practice and
qualification, so the work this week
paid off. I had a lot of arm pump in
moto one, which is unusual for me,
but I regrouped well for the second
moto. The result in that one was posi-
tive, and we plan to come out swing-
ing in Las Vegas."

7TH (5-10) 450SMX
Chase Sexton missed out on a top-
five overall after a mistake on the final
lap dropped him to 10th in race two.
"Not much to say about St. Louis, and
to be honest, I'm quite disappointed,"
he said. "I just want to apologize to
the fans and to the people who sup-
port me. It's been a trying year, but it
hasn't been from a lack of effort from
me and the people in my corner."
