"Either way, we're chillin'. I'm a racer; we'll
figure it out. I mean, I've heard a lot of people
complaining about the track today, which I think
is BS because we're professional athletes, and I
think you've got to figure it out. So, no problem
with the track, and if we've got to race, we've got
to race, and if we don't, then I'll take the [win].
I'm not going to say it was an easy [win], be-
cause it was a hard race."
Seth Hammaker held on for second at the
checkers. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit
Kawasaki rider suffered a big crash during the
morning qualifiers and was unsure if he'd even
line up for the afternoon motos. Hammaker did
come out and looked like nothing had hap-
pened, as he holeshot the opening race and
held off a hard-charging Jo Shimoda, who later
fell, in the opening laps. Once Shimoda hit the
deck, Hammaker held a 12-second advantage
over second place and looked to be in control
for the win. Deegan, however, had other plans
