Johnny Girroir will sit out a
few rounds of the series as he
recovers from injury. He plans to
return for the final two rounds.
The FMF KTM Factory Team
racer broke his hand before the
ISDE, where he helped guide the
U.S. team to fourth overall in Italy.
Girroir rode through the pain, but
he and his team decided it was
best to get the hand healed up
before racing again.
"I'm gutted to say I'll be miss
-
ing a couple more races," Girroir
said. "My hand is still very sore and
painful. I raced through the pain to
make it through [the Six Days], but
the team and I thought it was best
to let it heal to get to 100 percent
healthy and try to be ready to go for
the last two rounds of GNCC and
get our feet back in the game before
coming out swinging in 2026."
