Breaking The Budds
Creek Curse
In 1998, Yamaha's Doug Henry not only
beat everyone in the 250cc class but
also broke the curse at Budds Creek he
had with the track. Three years earlier,
Henry had broken his back at Budds
and then both arms two years later. This
time, however, Henry broke the curse
and won the race with a 2-1 finish.
