Cokinos Takes J Day Off-Road Win
A
fter a month-long break, the
J Day Off-Road Champion-
ship got back to business again
at Crow Hill MX in Baldwinville,
Massachusetts, August 23-24,
for round nine of the AMA East
Regional Championship, spon-
sored by Yamaha bLU cRU. A
beautiful overcast day with some
peeking sun and a breeze made
racing conditions great, and dust
was hardly a factor. Plaistow
Powersports rider Justin Coki-
nos decided to mix up the points
standings and come home with a
win at Crow Hill GP II.
Moto one for the Pro AA race
started out exactly like Crow
Hill GP I started earlier this year,
with Beta rider Brayden Nolette
out front to start the 30-minute
moto. At the end of lap one,
Cokinos, aboard his Yamaha
ride, put himself out front. Coki
-
nos was able to hold off A&E
rider Jiggs Fustini (KTM) until
the last lap, where he made a
pass for the moto-one win.
