forced to start from pit lane
after a technical issue on his
VR46 Ducati. At the start, drama
unfolded as Marc Marquez and
Marco Bezzecchi touched at turn
two, allowing Bezzecchi to lead
from teammate Franco Mor
-
bidelli, with Marquez third. Enea
Bastianini
soon crashed from
fourth, followed by Alex Marquez,
who rejoined at the back.
By lap three, Bezzecchi led
Morbidelli by eight-tenths of
a second with Marquez close
behind. Acosta had climbed to
fourth, closing on the leaders.
More chaos came when Raul
Fernandez (Trackhouse Aprilia)
and Mir fell separately at turn
five. Marquez then dispatched
Morbidelli on lap five, setting the
fastest laps as he hunted Bez
-
zecchi.
On
lap 11, Marquez finally
broke through at turn one, pull
-
ing away immediately with a
relentless pace. Acosta
moved
past Bezzecchi for second five
laps later, but by then Marquez's
advantage was nearly three
seconds. Martin, charging from
16th, climbed to fourth and pres
-
sured Bezzecchi, while Aldeguer
crashed
out of the top-five fight.
Marquez remained unchal-
lenged to take a dominant win—
his
seventh consecutive double,

extending his title lead to 175
points and claiming victory at
his 22nd different circuit. Acos-
ta's second place marked his
second
podium in three races,
while Bezzecchi's third kept
alive his run of four podiums
to race in WorldSBK next year
aboard Ducati machinery. And
he didn't exactly deny that on
Friday. "I like to race. I think I'm
fast enough to race, as I proved.
But it's something that I don't
want to think about. I will make
a decision in the future on what
I feel more comfortable with. I
will take in the future what I feel
more comfortable with."
PECCO'S NIGHTMARE
There have been several
chastening weekends for Pecco
Bagnaia in 2025. But none more
so than the Hungarian GP,
where he qualified a dismal 15th
before finishing just two places
higher in the Sprint and eighth in
the Sunday GP. "Not just a dif-
ficult day, it's a difficult period,"
he said on Saturday. "Maybe the
worst of my Ducati experience
and Ducati factory team. And I'm
the rider, but behind me there
are 50 people who are helping
me. And we are all struggling to
find a solution." Like the previ-
ous 13 rounds, Bagnaia has no
stability in braking. "Honestly, it's
from the start of the season that
I'm struggling with it. Today I just
did a little step. I know we can
fight, and the moment we will
rise, we will be there. So, I think
we need to continue, never give
up, like we are doing."
Briefly...
(Top) Marc Marquez (93) easily led
home the VR46 Ducatis of Fabio
Di Giannantonio (49) and Franco
(21) in the Sprint. (Bottom) Jorge
Martin (1) put on a masterclass of
overtaking, ripping through the field
from 16th to fourth, his best Aprilia
result to date. Luca Marini (10) also
had a great weekend with a double
top five finish.
