Sexton Sidelined
R
ed Bull KTM's Chase Sexton revealed
before the weekend's Pro Motocross at
Unadilla that he's going to forgo the rest of
the outdoor MX season and instead focus on
the upcoming SMX Playoffs and the Moto-
cross of Nations.
Sexton says he suffered a shoulder injury
in his crash, blamed on a technical issue with
his bike's brakes, the week before at the Iron
-
man National in Indiana.
"[A] brake malfunction in the second moto
was out of mine and Jade Dungey's [Sexton's
mechanic] control, and for me, I was just a
passenger at that point. I tried all I could do to
save it," he said via social media. "With that being
said, I'm still encouraged by my riding and am
happy with how it was going up until that point.
As far as my body goes, my right shoulder is weak
from the crash, and I'm getting it looked at. It's in
my best interest to get ready for SMX and come in
at 100 percent."

A

Nicoletti recently won the
2025 450cc Canadian National
Pro Championship, a first for
him and the WLTN Kawasaki
team that he rides for. Nicoletti
put in a calculated ride at the

points lead and sealed the deal
on Canadian motocross' biggest

"It's hard to describe what this
means to me," said Nicoletti.
"I've had a long career, and this
is a hard championship to win.
I'm happy for this entire team.
We're not the biggest operation
out here, but we grew so tight
down the stretch and got this
done together. I'm so proud."
The combined effort between
Nicoletti, Dylan Walsh, and
rookie Bobby Gravel pushed
WLTN Kawasaki to third overall
in the 2025 Constructors Cham
-
pionship.
"This is a dream come true
for our whole crew," said Melody
Hodgson of WLTN Kawasaki.
"To win a National Champion
-
ship here at home, in front of our
fans, friends, and family, it's a
moment we'll never forget. Our
team fought hard all year, and
this proves what we can do."
