breviated one; Wiles hit a neutral coming off the jump, allowing Bauman to power past on his Harley-Davidson XG750R with- out facing any resistance. And while that transpired just 45 seconds into the eight- minute-plus-two-lap main, by then Daniels had stretched open a gap of over a second. The two played a cat-and- mouse exchange of a couple tenths over the ensuing several laps, but Bauman never got close enough for a lunge. Ulti- mately, Daniels shook free and got his redemption by way of a The only rider who man- aged to split them up prior to the main was TT legend Henry Wiles, now a part-time racer but one with a record 19 TT victo- ries to his name. Wiles looked very comfortable on the DL Rac- ing/HYMMC Yamaha, and unlike his opponents, he had very little to lose if push came to shove. That made the start massive- ly important. And there Daniels jumped out into the lead, and, critically, Wiles rushed into sec- ond ahead of Bauman. The number-32 Yamaha run- ner put his head down to open up an early advantage, while Wiles and Bauman tussled for second. That clash was an ab - VOLUME 62 ISSUE 32 AUGUST 12, 2025 P87 to determine the '25 class' crown. "I had a good starting spot, got off the line good," he said. "I was just like, 'I gotta send it in on Dan, you know, gotta try it.' We were going over that jump. He was wide open, and he obviously got me back there, and then the race went red. And I kind of had a decent little game plan for turn one. But then the game plan didn't really work. So, I just had a little bit of a mechanical. It's unfortunate. Obvi- ously, the championship is kind of done, so. But I'm still happy with the way I rode in the main, and Dan's a great competitor." 911 HENRY WILES 3RD SUPERTWINS / 3RD ADVENTURETRACKERS Even as a part-time racer, Henry Wiles showed he still has the tools necessary to put it on the box in two classes at a TT, taking the Walters Bros Harley-Davidson and the DL Racing Yamaha to third in back-to- back races. That performance makes his potential at next weekend's Peoria TT intriguing, to say the least. He said, "You know, I should have been [concerned about his condition- ing], but I'm kind of a stud stock, so I wasn't really too worried about it. I just pulled the pin and let it rip to see what we had. I made some silly mistakes. So, in all reality, you could probably say maybe it was getting to me a little bit. But I nicked neutral, let Briar go by pretty easy, and I made a few mistakes behind those guys. It wasn't a very clean race, so we've got to clean it up a little bit if we want to run with those guys." MYOWNRACE Daniels (32) and Briar Bauman (3) continued their battle for the AFT SuperTwins title. With just four races left, Bauman leads Daniels by only seven points. Up next, the Peoria TT. Henry Wiles finished the night on the podium.
